Human God Cave

2011: Galvanisedmetal lath, wire, felt, oven-hardening clay

The felt, which is made of 3 different coloured wools using the wet moulding technique, is fixed to the painted galvanised metal lath and pierced through by nails following the pattern of the pre-historic cave carving.

The pattern is based on the same cave carving that inspired the pieces: Human-God and Human-God Today.

All the nails are sculpted, oven hardened, painted and buffed individually and some of them carry words from the 'Mantra of the Irregular Verbs' from another piece in this show, called: ‘Felt’.
