2011: Installation

The types of wool used for this installation are all from British breeds of sheep (Swaledale, Corriedale and Jacob).

Sheep’s wool was placed in various locations within the exhibition space. Visitors are invited to touch and interact with this magical material.

Sheep’s wool has been with us since pre-historic times taking different forms according to the required function and the process it is put through.
It is forming, transforming and degrading. It adjusts in use and dissolves back into nature when it has had its time.
